  • Technician Verified with Vehicle in the running position, and A/C Settings set to Max A/C that Center vents were Blowing Hot at 101.4F. Technician Hooked Vehicle up to Refrigerant Machine finding no Pressures Present from High or Low Side Lines. Technician Pulled Vacuum on system and charged to Spec (0.50KG), finding after service Center Vent Temps were now reading at 37F. (Ambient Temp – 72.5F.) Technician Removed upper Core support coverings and lower Splash shields Using UV Light to inspect for leaks, as well as a Refrigerant leak detector finding no Current leaks from Compressor, Fittings, hoses, or expansion valve. Technician Operated A/C System on Max A/C while Using refrigerant detector on Drain finding no Measurable amounts of refrigerant present. Technician used Soapy water on Both Low side and High Side Refrigerant ports finding no Current leaks. Technician Added UV Dye into system, recommending Customer to return at a Later date if A/C system starts Blowing warm again for Inspection of A/C System to determine source of leak if any.

Technician Removed interior door panel gaining access finding Window previously had tabs re glued. inspection while rolling window up and down found Window regulator Worn causing Bushing to pop out momentarily causing that noise. a replacement window regulator is required to resolve noise concerns.

  • Technician Confirmed Rattle on Cold Start, Sound is That of Dual Mass Flywheel "Fighting Compression". Technician Observed Check engine light to be Illuminated due to (5) Stored DTC's and are listed as follows. P0300 – Random/Multiple Cylinder Mis-Fires Detected. P0301 – Cylinder #1 Mis-Fire Detected, P0302 – Cylinder #2 Mis-Fire Detected, P0304 – Cylinder #4 Mis-Fire Detected, and P261B – Engine Coolant Pump "B" Control Malfunction. Technician Confirmed Coolant level Full however Heavily diluted with water. Using Scan tool technician Manually operated Electric water pump in Which Pump did not Activate, Using Power Probe technician Confirmed B+ 12VDC Power on Control Wire Further verifying Electric Pump is Worn and Should be replaced. Technician Removed Wiper assembly including Cowling and Tray, to than Remove all (4) Spark plugs for Further inspection in which was found after Pressurizing cooling system to spec (108KPA) and using Borescope to than inspect each Cylinder bore in Which was found Cylinder #1 to have Puddle of Coolant atop Piston and finding Cylinder head gasket compramised having a trail of coolant running down cylinder. Technician Recommends Removing Cylinder head from Engine to Inspect for Further damage in which Cylinder head Deck surface as well as Piston height will be measured to Determine if any further damage is present. Replacing head gasket along with other Necessary Gaskets Seals, Thermostat, and Head Bolts where necessary.

  • Technician Confirmed No Start Condition with no Starter Activation when Ignition key was turned to the full-Start Position. Inspection found Starter Fuse and Relay in good Condition and found When Key was in the On Position and when power was Probed to the Starter Remote Signal wire the Vehicle Started Indicating Starter motor in Good health. Technician Performed Resistance testing of Clutch Safety cancel Switch and found good Continuity of Switch measuring 0.8Ohms When Switch was depressed. Technician Observed vehicle to Have an Aftermarket Alarm system in which the led Indicator was unplugged . technician Plugged Alarm Indicator back in and Found that the led was blinking Indicating system was Armed. Technician Using Remote found on Keys found no Arm or Disarm Functions to be had. technician Removed 12V Battery from Remote and inspection found when measuring voltage it measured Below spec at 11VDC. Remote battery was Replaced (23A) and Found when the disarm button was depressed the LED Indicator Stopped Blinking and Vehicle was able to be started.
